Andrew Pigott is a specialist in the development and execution of private company ownership transition and succession strategies. His experience within a multi-generation family business, combined with his extensive business valuation and deal closing record, enables him to help business owners and executives navigate the complexities of buying, selling and financing business ownership interests.

Prior to joining Kilbride, Andrew worked within the Campbell Valuation Group, a leading authority in the valuation of Canadian private companies, where he advised clients from a broad range of industries in the planning and implementation of business divestitures, management buyouts, family ownership successions and private equity financings.

Adny PigottAndrew began his career working summers for the family construction business in the mid 1970’s where he was initiated on the ways of general contracting. After completing a graduate degree in business he worked in pension investment, real estate syndication and commercial banking until returning to the Pigott Construction Company in 1986. There he spent several years in field operations before named general manager of the construction equipment sales and service division. During his eight years with the family business he learned firsthand about the risks, rewards and realities that are part and parcel of family owned businesses.

In 1994 Andrew joined the Campbell Valuation Group, Canada’s longest established independent valuation consulting firm, where he planned and implemented ownership transition strategies for a diverse client base of privately held and family owned businesses.

Today, Andrew calls upon his experience in family business, financial services and valuation advisory to help clients develop best of breed strategies for realizing and enhancing the value of their companies.

Andrew is President of the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise (Upper Canada Chapter), and is a member of the Family Firm Institute. He has completed the Canadian Securities Course, and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators Program, and is currently enrolled in the Certificate Program of the Family Firm Institute. He is co-author of The Purchase & Sale of Privately Held Businesses published by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and has been a contributor to numerous publications including the Ivey Business Quarterly and the Estates & Trusts Journal.
